I feel like this flavor is best suited for mixing with other flavors, unless you really want nothing but chocolate flavor. It tastes good, but it's fairly boring to drink just this. I ended up mixing with peanut butter or coffee. If you're a big chocolate fan, you'll like this, or if you're mixing with other things. As others have said, it's very much like melted chocolate ice cream or a milkshake from a fast food place.
The Chocolate 2.0 is great
Chocolate 2.0 is a good chocolate protein powder. It didn't blow me away, but I found it to be the perfect base for additional flavors. I'm now adding PB2, mint extract, strawberries, or coco powder to give this more flavor. I'll be buying it again even if I don't plan to drink it plain.
Before ever having tried Keto Chow, I bought 4 weeks worth of chocolate. I was planning on eating nothing else (which I haven't for 5 weeks and counting), so I was happily surprised to find that it was delicious. I have a major sweet tooth and I love chocolate. In my opinion, the chocolate Keto Chow tastes almost as good as a Baskin Robbins milkshake. I can't imagine it tasting any better.
It tastes just like a chocolate milk shake. When it's first mixed up it has that obvious vitamin taste. That disappears 99.9% overnight in the fridge.-1 star for the sweetness level. I've been low-carb or keto for 2-3 years and the first sip makes me recoil, it's just SO SWEET. I preferred the lesser sweetness of the 1.9s.I've got Salted Caramel on order so I'm hoping the extra saltiness will balance with the sweetness better in that flavor.
I can honestly say that before 2.0 my favorite was chocolate peanut butter - because it saved me from the monotony of plain chocolate. Once I tasted this, I was blown away! I love the flavor change - all I can say is it is less boring chocolate, more really fantastic chocolate!! Now, I drink it every day 1-2 times a day and I never get bored of it. In favorites, this is now a close second to salted caramel!
