What is “Keto”?
If carbohydrates are available, your body will burn that first. If carbs are not available, your body will burn fat & your fat stores! “Keto” (scientifically known as “Nutritional Ketosis” but usually referred to as just “keto” or a “ketogenic diet”) involves restricting your diet to moderate protein, very low carbohydrates and high fat. It’s similar to the the Atkins diet, but with more solid science. When you are consuming enough protein to keep muscles happy, restricting carbohydrates as low as possible and making up the rest of your calories in fat, your body switches into a fat burning mode. Your liver will begin converting fats into energy molecules known technically as “ketone bodies” – which is where the name of the diet comes from. People end up with MORE energy and vitality on a ketogenic diet. Muscle cells are finally gaining energy instead of all the fuel getting stored away in fat cells because of insulin, specifically insulin resistance.
Sorry, but this was not great. Does not taste anything like chicken soup. I have used heavy cream/MCT oil for the 1st one. Water/coconut oil for 2nd one. I did not even finish the 2nd one. Yes, I watched the videos both times and let them sit over night. It really is just not that good. I bought the whole kit and it is just sitting there. I will try the other sample ones sent to me, but I just got to be willing to try those, but not right now. I just think based on the "chicken soup" taste. Well I will see about the others. This though I got to say. It held my hunger at bay for a couple of hours only. Sorry! I tried to find something good to say about the "chicken soup" .

We have found that a lot of users respond well to the Savory Soup Flavors when they use them as a base to add additional ingredients and flavorings (i.e. salt, pepper, meat, vegetables, etc.). I don’t alway crave sweet meals, so this is an excellent way to have a change. And I don’t ever cook it. I put butter in and fill the bottle blender halfway with steaming, hot water from my coffee maker. Then fill it up the rest of the way with hot water from the tap and add garlic salt and pepper. It makes a nice hot drinkable soup. I hope they keep doing the savory mixes throughout the year.
the tomato basil was not tasty, at all.......haven't tried the other ones, yet.....
The Savory Chicken Soup is the first Keto Chow flavor that I have actively disliked. The flavor did nothing for me, and it was the first Keto Chow that really didn't settle well for me after eating. I tried it a second time by making a broccoli and cheddar soup with it. It was awful. Would not recommend.
I didn't like it. While it was spicy, it was and tasted VERY watery. Yes I knew it was made with water but hoped when it was made, it would become thicker.
The soup makes a nice base for a meal replacement, but it does need to have other things added, as it is pretty bland on it's own. Cheese, bacon bits, chives, are just some ideas. I added cheese, but if I'd had bacon to add I think I would have liked it even more.
I liked the flavor of the soup but I was in the bathroom all night throwing up. Guess I’m allergic to something in it. I was afraid to try the other 3 ( chicken noodle I couldn’t eat anyway because of a garlic allergy), so I gave them away.
I use Keto Chow Beef to make my Wonder Bread more bread like. Maria Emmerich’s zero carb recipe is good but a scoop of Keto Chow helps the recipe to be 90% identical to bread!
I love to drink this after frothing it and adding some cooked celery. Also love to add canned chicken and veggies for the full experience!!!!!
