Surprise Effect of beef vs whey protein
For this n=1: Since I went low carb (even before) I tended toward constipation. I have always had whey protein in my diet to varying degrees. Switching out whey for beef has made a significant change. Also, with whey, I was more prone to acne flare ups. However, I need more time with excluding whey before I am convinced on acne. For me the downside of KC Core, is I prefer the taste of whey to the beef. Also, the leucine level with beef isolate is too low to trigger muscle protein synthesis. One serving is at 1g where 3g are suggested in people over 30. At least according to Dr Donald Layman research/interviews that I have seen. To meet my breakfast goal of 3g to stave off sarcopenia, I add an omelette to my breakfast. I will probably move Keto Chow CORE to a later less crucial meal.
